What this free tool does

The INZRA PDF Editor is a free, browser-based tool for editing PDF files — changing existing text, adding new text and images, drawing, annotating, signing, and organizing pages. Your PDF is opened, edited and exported entirely on your device using JavaScript (PDF.js and pdf-lib); there's no upload step, so the file itself never touches our servers.

Supported PDF types

Native-text PDFs (from Word, Google Docs, Canva, most invoices and contracts) get the most accurate editing, including font detection and matching. Scanned or image-only PDFs are detected automatically — you can still add new text, images, annotations and signatures on them, though editing the existing (image) text isn't available yet. Encrypted PDFs can be opened if you already know the password; adding new password protection on export isn't supported yet.

How to edit a PDF online

  1. Open a PDF by dragging it in or clicking "Choose PDF."
  2. Click any existing text to edit it, or use the toolbar to add text, images, shapes, annotations or a signature.
  3. Use the page panel on the left to reorder, rotate, delete, extract or merge pages.
  4. Click "Download" to generate the edited PDF and save it to your device.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Every part of this editor — rendering, text extraction, editing and export — runs locally in your browser. Nothing about your document is sent to our server. You can confirm this yourself by checking your browser's network activity while editing: the only network requests are the one-time downloads of the editor's own libraries, never your file.

No. Your PDF is opened, edited and exported entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The file never leaves your device — there is no upload step at all.

Yes. Click any text to edit it. The editor detects the original size, color and position, and picks the closest matching standard font, adjusting spacing so the text still fits — it's a close visual match, not always byte-for-byte identical to the original font.

Not exactly — this editor matches your PDF's font to the closest standard font available (by weight, style and width) rather than re-using the original font file, and always labels a match as approximate rather than claiming it's exact.

The editor detects scanned pages and lets you know text editing isn't available on them yet. You can still add new text, images, annotations and signatures on top of a scanned page.

Yes — import additional PDFs to merge their pages in, or extract/export selected pages as a new file, all locally in your browser.

Yes, existing fillable form fields (text, checkbox, radio, dropdown) are detected and can be filled in, with an option to flatten the form into the final PDF.

Yes for the redaction tool: it removes the underlying text/graphics from the exported PDF rather than just covering it, falling back to flattening the page to an image on pages too complex to safely edit. The separate whiteout tool only visually covers content and is labeled as such — use redaction, not whiteout, when removal matters.

Not yet — there's no reliable way to add standard PDF encryption entirely in the browser today, so this editor doesn't offer it rather than faking it. You can still open PDFs that are already password protected.
